It's been so long (3 years) since we've first met as an OG. Looking at the pictures of the last outing was indeed nostalgic. The days in JC were short, but I was glad that we remained as an OG the majority of the time. It is all these experiences that shape up my JC life. Thank you everyone.

And for the next few chapters of our life, let everyone life it fully, make new friends, but never forget whatever that we had been through as L'ambada.

Hey L'ambadeans!

I know no one comes here anymore but I thought I'd just write down some nonsense for the heck of it and surprise anyone who might happen to drop by. So here goes:

It's been such a long time since we've truly met as an OG yet it seems like only yesterday that yihui called to inform me of my OG group number! And what an awesome OG it was (and still is), I remember all the crazy-ass dinners we had. There was zero studying till after March I think. Cooooooooollll...but I digress.

And I think its quite an achievement that we managed to hold that gathering/party at the start of January last year and have so many OGmates turn up for the event, its a testament to how close we once were. The OG also granted me such great friends like marco, sammy, yh, lydia and jacjacq with whom I still keep in touch even after entering NS!

Another thing I'll never forget was that crazy time we had a stayover at Marc's place during the CNY period and played mahjong through the night (the kbox before that was hardcore too ok), watching "Love Actually" and eventually falling asleep on the couch and just chilling listening to music. Life was so much simpler then.

And the best was when Shaun called us all up while we were preparing for As to drop by and bid Yihui farewell before she flew off to Cambridge. The "brain food" they gave helped in no small way to me doing well in As lolol...everyone should drink milo and eat raisins.

Now after the release of the A level results we'll all finally be starting to go our own ways, be it to different Unis overseas or to different courses in local universities. Whatever the case may be, I hope that all L'ambadeans have had a great 2 years at RJ and may we meet once again somewhere down the line.

Here's to you, Chong Min

Hello! It wasn't much, the cake and present. I just want to say a huge thank you, Chong Min, for always being there for L'ambada! You have been there for every one of us to celebrate our birthdays, yet we let yours slide by quietly during the holiday period. I'm sorry we couldn't have celebrated your birthday around November - other than the fact that you were on your ISLE trip, we didn't really make the effort to meet up. But please take note that you will always be our superduper J1-OGL, together with Jacq! I think L'ambada definitely owes much to you! I won't forget those gems you've uttered all year long: "If all the PRCs commit suicide because of bad results the suicide rate will increase..." Haha! All the effort you've put into trying to organise outings and birthday celebrations is very deeply appreciated by every single one of us, even if we may not be there to express it - you saw the faces of those less-active L'ambadeans when we surprised them with cakes and cards on their birthdays!

I realise that I haven't been going to the lodge very often at all! I just want to let you know that if I ever do reach school early, I will definitely head for the lodge! These days I've been really late (4 times so far this year! X.X) so I haven't had many chances to explain my disappearance. Nevertheless it's very comforting to know that my OG mates will be faithfully sitting by the red wall every morning, and I really look forward to seeing you guys! I will try to come earlier okay haha!

At the risk of sounding sentimental, you guys are seriously the best people around! Haha mug hard!

Haha, and thanks Zhen Yang and Yu Heng for that birthday cake and the present. The thought is real sweet. Thanks to all for eating the birthday cake haha.. I didn't expect a birthday celebration, but thank you all! L'ambada rocks!!

OG Outing!! (after a long long time)

Whew!! Today was a real nice gathering for the OG. We had dinner at this cafe where there were board games and other stuff. It was like Settler's cafe, but it had much fewer board games though. However, the main thing is that it was fun and I really enjoyed it!

I can't believe the turnout was so good. It was 16 people!! WOW. It has been such a long time ever since we had such a huge turnout, and it reminds me of the early orientation days till March. Those were the nice memories - tiring yet fun. A pity now we can't do that because we're J2s already, but may the spirit still live on.

We played a few games like Bridge, Rummi-O, Taboo. Oh, the girls were real good at Taboo, seems like they can express their thoughts much better than guys. Haha, must jiayou guys. Later on, there was this "I have never" round where we played to see who has done stuff. The best was Yi Hui's "I have never been to school this year". Lol everyone died for that one (except Yi Hui).

Quite fun to see everyone again. This year we might not go out at all, but at least come to the L'odge every morning. I know there'll be J1s, but there's always space for us. After all, we had the whole area to ourselves after around 2 months last year, so it can be the same this year.

And to conclude, good luck to Shaun for your army confinement period, good luck to YiHui for your job, good luck to both of you for A levels, good luck current OGLs for the preparation for Monday, and good luck to the rest of us for school. It's going to be quite a year ahead - we'll meet again sometime soon at the end of the year...

Hi people!

Today we celebrated Maria's birthday! It was a brilliant showcase of L'ambadean creativity and ingenuity. Why do we say that? Ok..I lie...its a showcase of SammyBois retardedness. But anyway, here goes. (In Honkie accent) Based on the lunar cahlander AH! Yesterday was Mooncake Festival AH! So why not...get yuheng a Mooncake. Clehver rite? Very Clehver AH!

At the same time, why not train Maria, YH's alter-ego, in some cleaning skills? Let's give him a personal dustpan and broom to call his own. No longer will he have to depend on his boss to provide the tools. He is self-sufficient! A sure sign of the coming of age. lolz...thankfully, weenie's common sense prevailed and we got him a coolio compressed shirt that has his likeness imprinted on it. In order to see that likeness, we suggest sniffing a bit of glue and then stare really...really..hard at the picture. You'll see YH smiling back at you! Serious! Try it out next time he wears it out.

Ok..enough nonsense. Thanks everyone for coming down today. And don't forget TCM's OG dinner next Thursday. I'll try to make it. Got college league that day. but still, will try ya? ok.

dear dear dear lambadeans!

The outing we have last youth day was (needless to say) a SUCCESS and I just want to reach out to all those who came to thank all of you guys for being so spontaneous and coming down for out meeting! For those who didn't, it's alright! just make up for your absence at the next few lambada outings or so ok??

Let's retrace our steps on Monday for memory's sake, shall we?

Breakfast at McDonald's
As Sunny wanted to be reunited with his coolio red-haired uncle, we decided to meet at mcdonald's at the grand time of 9.45am under TCM's orders.

However, some (if not, most) were late and this is the approx order of arrival:
1. Augustine
2. Zhen Yang
3. Weihan/Jacq
4. Jacq/Weihan (sorry i dunno... wasn't there yet LOL)
5. Yh
6. Sam

and finally....coming in 7th (and LAST! at 10.40am...) Mr TCM!!!!!!! Whoo hoo!

After breakfast we decided to head towards the cinema to get our tickets so that we could watch the movie but since someone watched the movie "transformers" already, we decided to watch something else instead... The Silver Surfer!

After the movie (shan't comment on the movie, go watch it yourself!), we went up to the food court to have an economical lunch! (so that we could have enough money for dessert later in the day!) TCM was supposed to treat us to a sumptious feast but we shall let him off on account of.... no actually let's not let him off for being the latest to arrive... We'll think of a punishment later...

Anyway, shaun and yihui joined us during lunch and after lunch, august and tcm both left for other outings (traitors!)
We then went to play pool and because the woman at the counter got the timing wrong we ended up paying extra for overtime... -_-

Then we decided to do something that didn't require financial resources and thus we decided to go window shopping! Of course most of the time the girls led the way but the lambada guys (being as gentlemanly as they were) followed us around gallantly... :):):)

But being lambadeans... Most of the time we stood outside shops in a circular formation trying to perfect the art of fossilisation. We went around shops that sold clocks and VERY expensive household items, gift shops selling a variety of cute cuddly evil fuzzies and even random shops that sold travel items and children's toys.... In the end, we roamed around the place aimlessly and decided to go for dinner early because there was just nothing to be done! Our dear OGLs thus departed (oops) at this point... And what was left was a HANDful (literally cos there were 5) lambadeans...

After dinner by the food court (again!), we walked over to the esplanade and entered the aromatic little chocolate eatery famous for it's oh-so-yummy chocolatey products (mm mm)

After flipping the pages of the menu and staring at the captivating visuals displayed all over its pages, it took us like... 10 minutes or more to finally decide what we wanted to order? Luckily, chocolate is a luxury good and thus the prices kept us from buying out the whole place to feed our chocolate addictions... =P

For those who missed the fondue... Too bad! Even though the white chocolate dip tasted like warmed condensed milk... the dark chocolate and the milk chocolate were so good! Endorphins endorphins endorphins!!!

After our chocolate indulgence, we decided to go up to the roof terrace of the esplanade to take a breath of fresh air and admire singapore's waterfront with a night view.... (though the fresh air was spoilt with wafts of lobster and other forms of disgusting seafood dishes from the restaurant below -_- )

On the rooftop, under the night sky, 5 lambadeans put aside their differences in superiority and race and came together to sing, laugh and talk... What a romantic night it was!

It has come to our attention that a superior specie of the homo sapien class, commonly known as Lambadeans, have not come into interaction for a prolonged period of time. This specie is known for its ability for wild antics, laughter and bouts of complete insanity. It is also recognisable by its leg disorder, which prevents it from walking. For members of this specie to continue to survive and thrive, they need to interact frequently with each other.

To keep this specie alive, an emergency exercise is being carried out to gather all members of the Lambadeans. The congregation point will be at Marina Square, outside MacDonalds (near the guy with the funky red hair) at 9AM on 1st July. If you spot any members of this specie wandering around between now and then, please do not hesitate to remind them about this important matter (as Lambadeans are also prone to bad memory and oversleeping).

Lambadeans will be roaming around Marina Square throughout this entire day. If any member of the specie is unable to meet at 9am, they may contact their fellow Lambadean to confirm the whereabouts of this nomadic group. They can also, alternatively, look out for them by the telltale signs of loud volumes and insane laughter.

Look! L'ambada is half a year old already! We should have like... those little celebration parties when babies reach one month of age and then they have RED EGGS!!! It suits us so well, don't you think???? =) =) =)

Hey,

that was certainly entertaining to read. At first I thought it was a real article because the tone in it was that of a formal report. But I realized it was not after I saw the words "Auspicium Melioris Aevi". You see, no reporter would use such words because it is associated with our school and they cannot afford to be biased. Well, anyway, the article was real funny.

My personal opinion is that life is not just about studying. But it revolves around it. It is the basis to the path ahead to society. Well, my take is that go study for at least 1 week for CTs. Then the rest is for enjoyment or CCA.

And yep, I finished learning the whole song of Mariage D' Amour, the one that Sam. asked me to learn after Guitar Concert..:) Just need to touch up a bit here and there... Haiz.. and Grade 5 pieces are quite challenging.. with all the runs here and there. All right, well music for me is an enjoyment. So, go find yours! Have a life! (and Dota and CS does not equate to having a life)

A recent statement from the Ministry of Education has everyone partying till the break of day. Just 1 minute ago, it was confirmed by a senior adviser in the Ministry who spoke on condition of anonymity that studying is bad for you! Yes you, put down that bloody textbook right now.

According to MOE, a study was done on the effects of studying on the young, today's students, tomorrow's leaders, the hope of a better age, Auspicium Melioris Aevi. Apparently, due to Singapore's meritocratic society, students have been chasing paper their whole lives. As such, excessive studying has shown to be, contrary to popular belief, bad for one's health. Not only does excessive studying make you look like a potato, fatter and whiter than an Ang Moh, but it also causes some disturbing mental problems.

This reporter has since interviewed a few students to validate this, but sadly, the most they could say was this, "Ahahahahahahahahahahaha.....your hair longer than mine! Book you!" While this reporter failed to get a coherent answer to any of his questions, their answers were proof enough.

Also, economists who have been studying the problem of excessive "mugging" have concurred with MOE's assessment. Studying alone, generates negative externalities, such as excessive noise-making which disturbs the peace, as well as unruly behaviour such as going out of one's way to PISS OTHERS OFF. So if you learnt in school that education was a merit good, you better unlearn that now. But that is studying in itself, so its best if you just knock your collective heads repeatedly on the wall and hope you get amnesia.

The ministry has now dictated certain fast solutions to remedy this acute problem. The spokesman had this to say, "Dota and CS FTW!!!!11!!!11!!"

So boys and girls, I hope you've learnt something today. Screw the CTs, go and play ;)

L'ambada outing!!

Hey ya, it's been quite a long long time since orientation, and although slightly fewer come to the lodge nowadays, it's all right as I know you all are still there in spirit, and do try to come down whenever possible k? If you feel that the lodge is too far away, think of it like this: it makes our og more unique than the rest who just shift to the canteen right? anyway the canteen is also quite noisy and so the lodge is still the best :)

Anyway, thnks so much for making shaun's birthday a success. Everyone signed on the ball, and the card.. amazing!! And Zhen Yang's guitar concert was quite interesting and fun to be in, and it did get me interested in guitar, but I am already learning piano, so that'll have to wait:)

Yep. now for the main message: L'ambada outing in June hols. I know, CTs are after hols, but it's ok to just go out and have a little fun on one day of the hols ain't it? Probably would be on a weekend where everyone is more free. The date is yet to be settled. But hopefully many ppl can come! This time it'll be in the west. haha.. and probably not something physical, maybe at the beach again?

Yo yo yo fellow lambadeans!

So much (well, not exactly) has happened since term 2 started!

Perhaps the biggest event this term was our dear OGL's birthday!!! Wheee!

Shaun: Glad you liked the video and the cake and the card!! Special attention was given k... LOL ok ok nvm

Even though the numbers that go to the lodge everyday have decrease significantly.... at least there are still a handful of us that still go to the lodge dutifully!

And I must now take the time to commend these people who have never failed to come to the lodge whenever they can!

anyway.... today was R Project and GUITAR ENSEMBLE CONCERT day!

Basically chong min and I went (and we met marcsee there) to support our favourite scholar, SUNNY! Whee!

We bought him flowers and a box of chocolate Pocky to wish him well at the performance! True enough... the performance was great and it was really cool to hear songs like "flight of the bumblebee", "mariage d'amour", "somewhere over the rainbow", "top of the world" and many others! Well done ZY!

Even though there were only a few OG members that went down to support the GE concert (awww)... I know the WHOLE OG was there in spirit! haha... And we must try to support as many OG members as possible k??? (say... when are bowling finals???) *hint hint*

In the wee hours of the morning on 15th May, when all was still dark, the sun hadn't arrived to dawn on this side of the earth, the school was gloomy and empty, the birds sleeping in their nests, zhenyang still in his bed, a bunch of crazy MT-headed people bustled around at a certain lodge in a certain school on a certain island.

L'ambadeans hurriedly trying to light (and count) the numerous candles :)

Shaun's cake! With 18 candles >__< So hot and nervous that it's sweating already...

...and the birthday boy comes to save the cake from its suffering! :D

Today we had an exciting morning at the og lodge with the special guest appearance of THE COCKROACH.

For the sakes of those who missed it, here's a humble recount of the entire episode by the great jacq.

Chongmin to the rescue! Taking a piece of tissue and a sheet of foolscap from tanvi's chem homework, tanchongmin attempts to CATCH THE EVIL COCKROACH INTRUDER, chasing it across the red wall. How dare it try to break the peace of a perfectly happy lambadean morning!

However, the valiant (and certainly well-meant) action by our dear tanchongmin spelt trouble for our poor inferior neighbours >< OH NOES! The decadent cockroach raced straight into their midst, causing a tremendous brouhaha! What a fiasco! Chongmin persists, much to the horror of our poor neighbours.

Then it is our sailorman ZHUANGYI to the rescue! Brandishing a chair, zhuangyi brings judgement right down on the cockroach with a *BANG! According to his observations, the cockroach excreted white stuff from its ass when squashed.

Turning their backs on the defeated roach, our heroes return triumphantly amidst the admiring smiles and cheers of their fellow lambadeans. However, just as we thought it was peace again... SUDDENLY a commotion starts up! :o It seems that the cockroach had been FEIGNING DEATH! OH, THE EVIL SNEAKY THING!

Our hero tanchongmin races back to aid our inferior comrades. Picking up the cockroach with his bare hands, chongmin DASHES IT AGAINST THE WALL. And it bounces off and dies. Then our hero goes to wash and boil his hands. Peace ensues and lambadeans lived happily ever after.

Janice!

She may be the newest addition to our lambada family... but she's definitely not the youngest!!!

Yae today after school we met up to have her birthday dinner (even though only a handful went it's the company that matters right???)

Ok.. on behalf of lambada... we gave her a pink water bottle.. which was filled with mentos, pink pencils and a pair of pink laces!! Her card was also signed by about 14 people?? And Winston wrote 17 words in her card!!! Well done!!!

Yup... went to the playground for dinner... then bubble tea... then played some minds games like "Bang bang bang", "Black magic" and "fuzzy wuzzy" level 2 and 3 :):):)

basically... tcm, yh, sunny, shaun, augustine, sammyboi and janice went for the dinner (just 1 person short of 2 ogs!!!) but we know that jacq and marc would have been there if not for the class adventure camp right??? (*nods*)

Hope the outing was fun! I regret that I couldn't make it 'cause of the scouts camp I was helping out in. (as an instructor) Ha, do hope that you all had fun and share some of the experiences here on the blog as I also want to know!!!

Here's the story behind the cake:

We (Tanvi, Sammyboi, TCM and YH) told ZY that we were all going home already after dinner on Monday, and so he left in the direction of the bus interchange. We then went to look for the cake- first at breadtalk then to one of the cake shops around the HDB area. We then met shaun on the way and he came with us to get the cake. Bought the cake that looked most appealing (chocolate of course) and went home!

if you've ever read batman comics, or checked out the cartoons. you know he's always either hanging out on skyscrapers with ominous gargoyles, or chillin at his dark castle hide out or in the cave with his coolio ride (tok abt pimp my ride man). or PMS-ing to his faithful butler. yar. so if you take batman's pose when he's on a dark skyscraper on a dark knight (pun intended), and super impose marc see's face there, doesn't that look like him when he's sitting on the stairs at the pac staring out into space? of course i could be wrong and he's just staring at the sky praying that it'll rain immediately thus causing an NMA, but that's quite far fetched rite?

thus i say emo=batman. if you have some problem with a dude in a black cape who has a hotter ride than ur parents, then a closer, more angsty teen parallel would be spiderman. i think that needs little explaining, read 1 comic and watch the movies. nuf said.

alamak, been popping by now and then and notice the blog like how dead sia!! Why liddat? So i decided to post some random stuff here in the hope that people will start blogging again. okie...firstly, if anyone wants to make me remotely less pissed off pls buy my pedal off me. lolz..hahaz...jkjk.

ok, next, when's our next outing? i've got a feeling an outing is what's needed to wake everyone up again. I mean, the island creamery outing was a success, but a bit unfair to the rest la. and i found out, thats the only outlet they have, so once again...westies rule the day...sad case really. I heard from govindaSAMMYBOI d/o Ho that yall having a movie outing on good fri to go watch tmnt. thats good, people should try and turn up for that. i've seen the movie liao and it is damn good. for fans (moi) and non-fans alike, the CGI is out of this world. really nice. and Sam should support, its made in hong kong!! rite, so i'll prob try my very best to escape and join you all for lunch/dinner after the movie ok? no promises but i'll try my best.

I've got nothing better to do, having fully tested the C&C 3 demo, so I'm doing this post for the heck of it. Basically, we all know how infamously slow we are at making even the most trivial of decisions, sometimes I wonder how we managed to organise the first OG outing in the first place! Haha...So I'm here to kickstart the discussion. We can continue this on the egrp or on the blog, though the blog is infinitely more pleasing to the eye than the yahoo group. Today has been a JOYOUS DAY, a true cause for celebration!

Firstly, we have TANVI BACK WITH US! Welcome back Tanvi! ^________^ The last few days have been a true rollercoaster ride, and today was the most difficult. Buuut now Tanvi is back with us and nothing (NOTHING) shall take her away from us anymore :)

Secondly, we celebrate two birthdays this week. Happy 17th birthday to SAMMYBOI (my fellow superior being mmmhmmm!) and MARCO (the pink-banana-prawn man!) L'ambada <3 you two :) And winston wrote a record-breaking number of words on sam's card. Hurray!

Thirdly, Janice has mastered the school song and the batch song and the batch dance (thanks to private tutoring from the one and only superior SAM) yayness! And Janice has gone through the Tomato Ceremony or whatever and is officially a member of MT (the coolest house ever) and LAMEBADA (the hottest og ever)! Welcome to L'ambada, Janice!

Today was O2 and although we didn't win anything for photo hunt or the house meeting games, in our hearts we all know that we were champions today because of how sporting and cooperative and enthusiastic everyone was. Don't you think that compared to the first orientation, we work so much better together now? Anddd every moment is full of fun and lamebadean spirit =D Anyway, we all know (and all of RJ knows) that L'AMBADA is /THE/ og to be in :) I think we must start charging crashers membership fees xP

Hey OG! Wah...Term 1 ending so fast siaa! Amazing man. So much stuff has happened and it's hard to keep track of all of them right? Just remember one thing that is constant in all this madness is the OG! We're always there for everyone and well..we're literally always there at 7 in the morning at the PAC lodge...so yup! Happy days guys as the hols approach. Can't wait for O2 to start, curious as to what's gonna happen.

Thoughts about School Life

Recently school life has just started to get busy. I can sense that many have their commitments in their CCA already, and are going out less often with the OG. It is ok, just remember that the OG exists k, and don't dao OG mates when you see them.

Next week is O2. Quite excited about it. But I really don't see why it has been reduced to 1 day for IP students, we should have one more day of rest and bonding! Anyway, one day is better than nothing. Anyway, O2 on Thursday there'll be Photohunt. We'll need two cameras (volunteer pls), and everyone needs to bring an umbrella/poncho each.

And on O2 there'll be someone's birthday. Go read the previous post to find out who. And this time I promise I won't say "It's yr birthday tmr, right?" - What I said to Lydia last Thurs which was highly entertaining to fellow OG mates.

To end off, I would like to say that I am grateful and happy with being with the OG, and sharing the joy of birthdays as well as sorrows (if any). Also, I'm real sorry if I mix up your names (especially with Samantha's, or Zhang Ying and You Jia). I feel very apologetic about it, and just to tell you all that in my heart I know who you are, just that I sometimes say wrongly unintentionally.

Regardless how busy you are, come and meet up with OG once in a while k (like come for dinner on Wed)? Remember we're not just an OG, but a family!

Dear OG Mates:

The purpose of this is to convey to you my sincerest apologies for not joining you all for our weekly (compulsory) OG dinner today.

Let me explain the reasons behind my actions. After today's concert preview, it was raining somewhat heavily. One of my close friends mentioned that she had forgotten to bring her umbrella and needed someone to shelter her out of school. Being the very kind and helpful person I am, I felt that as her friend of more than 6 years, it was my duty to oblige her. In addition, she kindly offered to share a cab home with me in return. Having had a Physics test earlier that day, I was both physically and mentally drained. Hence, that made it even harder for me to refuse her offer.

However, during the taxi ride home, I reflected on my actions and I realised how insensitive I was. To have made everyone wait for me (and sam) and not turn up eventually despite having agreed earlier on in the day is simply an irresponsible thing to do. Therefore, I decided that I will never let such a thing ever happen again. If I do not plan to go for the OG dinner at night, I will not give you all false hopes by promising to turn up and end up backing out of it at the last minute. (HEHE)

My dear L'ambadeans, let me assure you that whatever happened today will not happen again. I will continue to be committed to the OG (or at least, try to) for the rest of my time in RJC.

RAWWWRR I'm blogging from home, missing you guys because i ONLY saw you guys once today xD And feeling sorry that i didn't stay in school to have dinner with you guys. Sorry for myself, that is. 'Cos i'm missing a chance to be with you all! Rawwrrr but work's picking up and i gotta catch up with some stuff so i can dinner with you all on thursday >__^

Anyway, today my class just had the talk on hospice and i realised that, you know... Here at RJ our first priority is our grades. Every day finds us working away at our various subjects and chasing the elusive As. The two years we have here are so short, and we have so much work to do and so many topics to cover before we sit for that dreaded paper next year. But in the midst of all these, i think it's also just as important for us to build lasting friendships and bonds :) Think about it; the grades can only see us through to university. But friends see us through a lifetime.

So, I just hope that this friendship that we have begun won't just be a come-and-go thing. We might be busy with work and such; grades really ARE important after all-- but let's make the effort to spend time with one another and stay together :) Keep the L'ambadean spirit going and the friendship flowing!

hi people!

it's hard to believe that it's only been two months since we first met... it feels like so much longer! and i just want to say that i am really lucky and blessed to have met you all... i don't know what i did to get into L'ambada but i'm sure it's probably something very good i did in my previous life. you all have seriously been a rocking and fun-loving bunch of great people! bestest best OG anybody could ever hope for! i am really proud of our OG and how we would do stuff like dao our classes and sit at benches waiting till 9pm for people to finish training so we can enjoy dinner together. i mean can you seriously be any more united than that? haha ohh man my class kind of dislikes me now because i kept going for OG stuff instead but i have no regrets!

these two months have been a blur of fun activities! and i feel really sad that term 1 is going to end and everything's going to be more serious from term 2 onwards! anyway this term is going to end with.....ORIENTATION 2! and i hope it would be even funner than the first orientation since we know one another better now! starting to see you all less often now (for dinner and stuff) and it's a bit sad, but weihan does have a point, we do have to concentrate on our studies also!

for those who didn't do well in their lecture tests, fret not! these tests are set by sadistic teachers who derive pleasure from seeing fail grades on students papers.

anyway! i can repeat myself over and over again but i just can't seem to stress it enough: I LOVE LAMBADA! here's to a great rocking orientation 2!

Hmm.... Can't believe term 1 is ending so quicky.... and as i sit here in my favourite place in the whole school (yes, i'm blogging in sch.. oops) and look back.... it's a mazing what can happen in just a few weeks.... I've made so many acquaintances... tried so many new things... learnt so much (3 chem chapters!!!!) and most importantly, made enough great friends to last me a lifetime.... :)

wait.... lambada is not just OG... It's family LOL.... Yup.... and i'm happy enough that the OG has lasted long enough to throw the marchie-babies a surprise!! And i really do hope that the OG will last long enough to celebrate the marchie-babies' birthdays next year! and the year after that... and the year after... :)

as chong min said, i think we should be slightly more sensible la. not being an nightowl, im starting to feel the effects of too many late nites...(they're kinda reflected in my abysmal grades). so i suggest we kinda just fix the dates as previously suggested by many. so we meet up every morning, thats a given. but in terms of almost nightly dinner outings. i think maybe we should cut down to wednesday being the official OG PT cum dinner day. one night for dinner, we all try to make it and have fun. coz i think even with 1 night onli, we still PWN the other OGs handsdown.

i'm kinda suggesting this coz i'm gonna be cutting down. i just need more slp la. lolz...and training is OCC is welli welli far away. so i've decided i'm going home on mondays and thursdays. but i'll still be there to lead u peeps in 2.4 every wednesday ok? coolios. Hi L'ambada!

Looking at Shaun's post, when term 2 starts, we'll definitely be busy, but nevertheless, we can still find time to hang out like once a week. What's school like without the OG? And we'll still meet everyday in the morning, won't we?

Looking at the birthday list, there's quite a lot of birthdays in March. There will be something special:)

And Orientation 2 is coming soon. So excited to get to meet the OG again, esp. those ppl who haven't been around with us for some time. Haha.. it's damn funny that the first thing Jacq commented on her birthday card is "Wow, even Winston wrote on it". This shows how precious Winston is in our OG. Sure, that's something to look forward to two weeks later.

ZZZ... Today I must also comment that Chemistry lecture test is a killer test. They cheated me of my time... 3 marks MCQ took 20 min for me, and so the 22 mark structured I had to rush in 20 min. The result? I didn't do qns worth 14 marks. Next time I shall learn to skip the MCQ (which is perceived to be the easiest section but is indeed the hardest), and go do qns worth more marks.. What a harsh way to learn the lesson about time management.

Yea and anyway, look forward to the next few weeks:)

thought i might as well say a bit (: since i've been through j1!
my previous og was very very high during orientation and the first few weeks. but it was only very few of us...
and im so so so amazed by you guys lah the energy the spirit the amount of times you all hang out in school and go out (:
i cant keep up haha im growing old

anyway... yea i guess term 2 commitments are going to start piling in...
i always find it kind of strange, but some OGs who don't actually go out a lot actually stay together longer... cos it takes much less just turning up every morning and talking to a few people than to go out all the time? thats how more pple stay together! thats why its super amazing why so many pple still go for dinners everyday (:

but yea what i meant was as long as you all don't stop seeing each other, as long as you all at least meet up once in a while, in the mornings everyday, or dinner once in a while, we will last! we will survive! and i don't ever think the bonds have been formed are gonna break just like that... i think lambada's much much stronger than we think we are (:

as long as everyone makes some effort to keep up with each other and not get swallowed by your commitments, WE WILL BE FINE (: don't be like me lah the last few weeks have been quite quicksand-ish lol but im okay! i will defeat everything hahaha

woooohooohoooohooohooohoooohooooo!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!just got back from reunion dinner. a very pleasant evening. my granmother seriously cooks amazing food. zomg...thank goodness i got the leftovers for tmr. curry only tastes its best 1 day after cooking. then u eat it with rrrrooooti prrata. haha...=p

so anyway, i'm currently planning on shou ye-ing till maybe past midnight or something before sleeping. so chat with me online or something. unless i go watch tv tt is...yay! damn cool lor...west wing. haven't finish the series yettt!!! argh...slowly.

and i was reading the different posts just now and i'd just like to say that i think the key to sticking together is thru small continuous gatherings. like the dinners we are doing now. and maybe the occasional outings on weekends or something. i'm quite sure we will stay close. this is not just og spirit we're talking abt. i think we've bonded together really well. amazingly well. incredibly well. and its this friendship thats gonna last us through the years here and beyond. so cheer up guys and gals! treasure wad we have and let our friendship just lead the way. dun need to keep musing abt these unhappy thoughts k lydia?

Happy cny everyone! Haha goshhh og stayover was so wonderful! All you guys who couldn't join us, you ought to be feeling terrible right now xP hahaha. oh yes and marcsay is a FANTASTIC HOST. totally put me to shame lah -.- tsk marcsay why you go and spoil the market for indonesian maids!

Hahaness anyway i think the most nicest part of last night was the lao-ing of the yusheng! As usual it was done in a totally lamEbada style xD it just felt really good for everyone to be standing around the table lao-ing yusheng and yelling random stuff together :) Another memory to put inside your little treasure chest!

But really the highlight of my evening was sleeping in marcsay's bed! <333>___O Anyways it was nice and comfy. I was meaning to curl up on the couch but i felt alsleep like 10 secs after snuggling under the covers xD whoops! anyway i promise the next time we sleepover at marcsay's place me and sam will sleep elsewhere so we can let the rightful people sleep on the bed xD

14th feb - it was an ever so typical bright and sunny day at the l'ambada lodge. as usual, the coolest og ever sat at its usual sunny spot so as to benefit the hardworking peeps who were doing their work (or uh, rushing to finish what they had to hand in that day). however, things were a little diff that morning because.... LOVE WAS IN THE AIRRRRRRRRR ... IT WAS VALENTINE'S DAYYYY!

hahaha anyway so skip skip skip girls prepared a surprise for the guys guys did the same thing for the girls! check out the guys and their v.c. (very cool) badges:

Woohoo. That was such a coolio night. It was fun, exciting, and totally awesome. White chicks was quite a funny movie, though it may be a bit sick at some parts of the show (especially since it's the uncut version).

Yay and the lao Yusheng was fun. It was especially funny when Zhuang Yi's Pocky stick (we ran out of chopsticks so used pocky instead) broke halfway and he was like using his hands to lao yu sheng. Haha..

And Sam and Zhen Yang thanks for taking photos. And thanks to those who brought cameras. Hehe, and there should be more photos I suppose. Pls upload them so that we can all enjoy the pics :)

And most importantly, thank you Marc for hosting all of us. Your house was real nice, esp. the bed (though I did not get to sleep on it). We may want to go to your house again, if you don't mind:)

And regarding Lydia's point about OG not lasting after second term, well, as the workload gets larger, we may not want to go out for that many dinners (e.g. 5 days a week). So, can perhaps have once a week thing. Shall see how as it comes. Meanwhile, just come for OG stuff as much as possible.

Well, I haven't slept since the stayover, so it's quite tiring for me. But still got the shou ye thing today.. haha. shall sleep only after 12 midnight.

HEY PEOPLE! hahaha hey the sleepover at marcsee's was SUPER DUPER UPER GAZOOPER FUN! marcsee! you're the best host ever ever ever! serious. :) yup haha and now i feel kinda sad that it was over so fast :( oh my tian i realised that we didn't eat the cheesecake! hahahaha. oh well. oh yeah and thanks marcsee for paying for the food first we'll pay you back on wed! oh and for the help with the cockroach too :) oh but you're the first guy i've seen who's also scared of a cockroach :P hmm the whole thing was tiring but i enjoyed myself loads! :) hoho slept from 1 to 6 though. OOH anyway i REALISE THAT THIS CALLS FOR ANOTHER I-LOVE-OUR-OG POST. lol. YES I LOVE LAMBADA SO MUCH :) seriously! i dunno about the rest of you guys but i really really have lotsa fun hanging out with you guys, much more than with my class cos i feel closer and more bonded to you all and the friendships we have feel well, real-er. sometimes i feel things get a little superficial with my class but then again it might be just me. oh well. and now i feel so sad cos i know and can feel that our og won't be that close anymore what with the added pressures of schwork and ccas when everything starts proper in term 2. sigh. and then when we do finally drift apart guess what, we'll all get used to it and that's when it's the worse cos even though we know that things aren't what they used to be, we don't really care about it either. :-( oh no. so what happens when it all ends?

WHEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Yae just finished my reunion dinner today.... But of course that's not what I'm going to blog about LOL.... YESTERDAY'S SLEEPOVER WAS SOME BOMB!!! IT WAS THE COOLEST, FUNNEST AND BESTEST STAYOVER ANY OG COULD EVER HAVE!

And a big THANKEW to Marc for letting us mess up his house and being such a cool host.... Don't think could find a better host anywhere!!! He was like running around the house like a maid looking for this, looking for that, trying to make all of us more comfortable.... Awww so sweet.... Haha... And the best part was he was WILLing to do it for us!!!

Marc: Yae you're like the bestest host in all the bestest hosts there ever was! We all LUFF you!!!! Thanks for running around and bringing us whatever we needed the moment we said it! I think you owned ALL the INDONESIAN maids in Singapore!!! Whoo hoo! Promoted to GM status with warranty/effectiveness period of 1 month! YAE!

Anyway, to those who didn't make it for the sleepover.... TOO BAD!!! It was so so so so so so super fun!!!! Actually come to think of it, we didn't really do much the whole time...

Events that took place:

1) Lao Yusheng

2) Mahjong

3) Karaoke

4) Bridge

5) Screening of UNCENSORED, UNCUT "WHITE CHICKS"!!!!!!

6) Screening of the half of Disney Animation "Hercules"

7) Screening of the romantic movie "Love Actually"

8) Screening of a fast-forwarded version of "HUO YUAN JIA"!

9) Eating, eating and MORE EATING (cough cough YOUKAI! cough cough)

10) Sleeping (for those not manly enough to stay up the whole night/day, which is like, EVERYONE!)

(eh... did anyone watch mean girls?? I can't remember cos i fell like, asleep... oops)

yeah... so basically that's what we all did.... hmm.... i think the funnest part of the whole stayover was either the yusheng lao-ing or the screening of the movie "white chicks"..... Personally, with a strictly innocent and completely angelic point of view, I think everyone enjoyed the movie because of it's visually attractive graphics and emotional/physical stimulating imagery... (WAHAHAHA)

OK... now that we've all established my innocence (hee hee), the stayover was nothing but good clean fun (except the part when SOMEONE used his hands to lao the yusheng....)!!

hmm.... Actually i wasn't intending to sleep at all but i was feeling very cold (Marc's house so COLD! not even the presence of all the hot lambada ppl could keep me warm!!!) so.... jacq and I like hid under the blanket to keep warm.... then... drift away into unconsciousness....

Anyway here are some pictures taken with Tanvi's cam!!! Haha... Not a lot because the battery died halfway.... not even past the 12mn mark! Aww......

And some of the pictures are repeated because SOMEONE (ahem ahem LYDIA! ahem ahem) was complaining that I didn't warn her before taking a picture of her so.... yeah... but never mind what does not appeal to SOME may be beautiful to another [particular] person... (heh heh)

haha...that was SOME sleepover man. Marc, you are seriously the perfect host. thanks a lot dude. i'm currently recovering from the lack of sleep. should be alright la. slept from 1.30pm to 4pm just now. how was the shopping girrrls? anyway, i've got the pics but it takes a while to upload. will do it when i'm freer and less in a rush and less tired. some are up on my blog liao. u can go see if u want. till then, take care, drink a lot of water, sleep when u can and try to survive the splurge of the next few days. hahaz...enjjooyyyy

HELLO LAMBADA.

Wheeeeeeee back from the stayover at marcsee's house!

his house was sooo nice and airconditioned and stuff but you know what was the most impressive part? it was MARC himself! here's a HUGE THANK YOU to marc for being such a gracious, gentlemanly and hospitable host and i felt a bit bad seeing him run around doing all the chores and serving everybody food while we all sat around and enjoyed yourselves! well i just want to say that we really appreciate your efforts trying to make everybody feel at home =D and he also paid for all the food that we ate!!! lambada must rmb to pay him back okay! the food itself cost like 60+ bucks! marc is such a nice and thoughtful host and we all had a ROCKING GREAT TIME at his houseeeee!! can't wait for another stayover (that is, if marc isn't scared off by how we messed up his whole place =X)

i love the polar bear bed but i didn't get a chance to sleep on it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! anyway i didn't bring my camera so i don't have any pictures. but the girls took a lot of photos so please post them up! haha the funniest part was when we were like, lao-ing the yusheng! there weren't enough pairs of chopsticks so zhuangyi had to make do with pocky sticks. and when the pocky sticks broke he proceeded unabashedly to use his hands instead!!! i wonder if that is the cause of lydia's stomachache =P we didn't know all the auspicious words to say before eating, so lydia suggested that we just say " YAYYYY" after adding each ingredient HAHA!

and i had suchhhhhh a fun time listening to all the sad oldies! oh mahjong was fun too! and the movies.......hehehe WHITE CHICKS! legendary. so funnnnnny and so sick !! i was intending on staying up all night but i couldn't resist the allure of the comfortable couch.. not my fault that his house is so cosy!

but a shame i had to leave earlier this morning for flag day so i couldn't join you all for breakfast and stuff.

and STAYOVERS ARE SO MUCH FUN

On this day, in the not-so-wee hours of the morning, a bright red package with a <3 note attached found its way to our fellow lambadean! :o It appears that this SECRET ADMIRER even knows our dear marcsay's taste in music! o.O Interesting... Who could it be!

Scandal #3:
Shaun and XXX (name concealed for safety reasons)
Our dear ogl was unable to join us today for our lonely-hearts dinner as he had *something else on* Now now, no need to be so hushhush about it shaun xP We know what- or who, rather- is occupying you! Unfortunately we are obliged to keep *her* identity confidential as it would put her in danger of being killed and blood-drinked xP It is a very REAL threat and we recognise the need for some shhhshhh here, so for more information please approach our gossip-expert lydia.

Yea, firstly I would like to say that shaun it's ok that you don't join us for most of the outings for og, as long as your heart is still with us, and you'll join us whenever possible!

And yup this brings me to dinner tomorrow. Try to come, unless you have something on.

And yup there is the Arts Alive thing that is 21 feb, Wednesday, 1pm. We can all go take part, help the house to gain a few participation pts. Anyway, it's relatively easy, just making a sketch based on a theme. (But sad to say my drawing is P2 standard). Anyway can still go and have fun. K talk about this some other time.

Ha, and finally, about blogger. Firstly, shaun, check if you are using the new blogger to sign in (i.e. the google account one). If you still cannot sign in, try creating a new google mail account and use that to sign in. Yup, hope you can join the blog as soon as possible.

Hello! i am tempted to launch into another i-love-lambada-so-much-and-im-so-proud-of-you-guys post, but let's save that for a rainy day :)

I was feeling bored studying math. probably you are too. so if you're mugging into the wee hours of the night and feel as bored as me, here's some pokies at mathematicians to keep you awake and giggling xP

the smart mathematician.
One day a farmer called up an engineer, a physicist, and a mathematician and asked them to fence of the largest possible area with the least amount of fence. The engineer made the fence in a circle and proclaimed that he had the most efficient design. The physicist made a long, straight line and proclaimed "We can assume the length is infinite..." and pointed out that fencing off half of the Earth was certainly a more efficient way to do it. The mathematician just laughed at them. He built a tiny fence around himself and said "I declare myself to be on the outside."

An engineer, a physicist and a mathematician are staying in a hotel. The engineer wakes up and smells smoke. omggggg lambada is the smartest OG in existence okay? we have two 10A1 scorers, namely SHUHAN AND AUGUSTINE !!!!!! congratulations to both of you supersmart people and lambada is so proud of the two of you! i don't even take 10 subjects lor, you must be a genius to be allowed to do 10 subs!
